The role

  • Full Time, Fixed Term (up to 2 years)
  • Level 7 - $101,421 to $110,819 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Any Charles Sturt University Regional Campus

The Research Data Project Officer plays a key role in improving how Charles Sturt University manages research data. Working with the Research Integrity Unit and the Library’s Scholarly Communications and Research Team, you will bring your skills in work flow design to deliver the University’s new Research Data Management Framework, based on the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) Framework.

In this role, you will help design and implement clear and practical processes for managing research data across the University. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders, including researchers, academic areas, Library Services, IT and research governance teams, to develop policies, procedures and guidance materials. You will also support researchers by providing advice, developing training resources and helping the University meet research integrity and funding requirements.

You are an experienced and organised professional with a proven ability to collaborate and improve research support processes.

You will bring:

  • Experience working in research support, research data, libraries, policy or project roles
  • Understanding of good research data management practices and the research lifecycle
  • Ability to develop clear policies, processes, guidance and training materials
  • Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders across an organisation
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas simply
  • Good planning and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail
  • A collaborative, respectful approach that reflects University values
