The role

  • Part Time – 17.5 hours per week, Continuing
  • Level 6 - $46,012 to $49,769 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Bathurst, Orange or Wagga Wagga

As the Safer Communities Project Officer, you will support the Safe and Respectful Communities Unit by delivering education, prevention, and engagement initiatives. Additionally, you will assist in policy review, strategy development, and self-assessment to enhance student wellbeing and primary prevention.
Your role will focus on developing service models that address emerging trends, ensuring students receive necessary support to achieve their academic potential.

About you

  • Expertise in student wellbeing and primary prevention of sexual harm, family, and gendered violence
  • Extensive experience in managing programs, awareness initiatives, educational programs, and projects 
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative in problem-solving and decision-making, ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity

The successful applicant will be required to produce, satisfy and maintain a “Working with Children Check”, in accordance with the Commission for Children and Young People Act (NSW).
