The role

  • Full Time, Continuing
  • Level B - AUD$113,841 to AUD$134,965 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Canberra, Dubbo, Orange or Wagga Wagga

You will be responsible for teaching and undertaking subject development in undergraduate and postgraduate emergency management programs as well as undertaking research and/or professional activities related to emergency and disaster management.

You will also be establishing and fostering effective relationships with industry and government partners, both domestically and internationally, and as such, regular international travel may be required to support teaching delivery, partnership development, and research collaboration activities.

About you

  • A doctoral qualification in emergency management or a related discipline, or equivalent accreditation and standing.
  • Experience designing and delivering student centred curricula across undergraduate and postgraduate courses relevant to emergency management.
  • Contemporary emergency management / disaster management-related expertise demonstrated through teaching, research and publications.
  • Strong scholarly record with successful grant applications, peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations on emergency management-adjacent topics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and experience collaborating effectively with academic colleagues, industry partners, and community stakeholders.
