The role

  • Full Time, Continuing
  • Level 7 - $101,421 to $110,819 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Orange, Port Macquarie or Wagga Wagga

As the Project Officer, Energy and Climate Adaptation, you’ll play a key role in delivering Charles Sturt University’s energy efficiency, carbon reduction and climate resilience initiatives.

In this role, you will scope, plan, implement and monitor projects that improve energy performance, support climate‑related risk disclosure requirements, and contribute to the University mitigating its full scope of emissions.

You will work closely with the Sustainability team, technical specialists and campus services to ensure projects are well‑designed, compliant, and aligned with organisational strategy. This position directly contributes to the University's clean energy roadmap and climate risk management.

You bring a strong mix of technical insight, project delivery skills and a commitment to sustainability:

  • Experience in energy efficiency, carbon reduction and climate adaptation work
  • Ability to interpret technical data, assess risks and turn findings into solutions
  • Proven skills in planning, coordinating and delivering projects
  • Clear, effective communication with stakeholders and service providers
  • Commitment to sustainability, innovation and creating long‑term impact
